Introducing SnapID Mark: verified timestamp camera for field teams
A photo with a date in the corner used to be enough. Today it rarely is. Anyone can change the phone clock, install a mock GPS app or edit a picture before sending it, so clients, auditors and managers increasingly ask the same question: how do I know this photo is real?
SnapID Mark is our answer. It is a timestamp camera built around verification: every photo carries proof that the person receiving it can check for themselves, without installing anything. It is available now on Google Play and the App Store, free for personal use, with a web dashboard for businesses at app.snapidmark.com.
What SnapID Mark does
Every photo you take with SnapID Mark gets a stamp that includes:
- Server-trusted time. The time comes from a clock synced with SnapID’s servers, not from the phone clock, so changing the device time does not change the stamp.
- GPS, address and mini map. Coordinates with accuracy, a readable street address and a small map.
- Weather at the moment of capture.
- A unique SnapID code and a QR. New codes look like
SNP-K7QX2-ANNV9-AHDVM-Z3TWA. They are created on the phone at capture and signed with a device key, so they can be checked even before the photo uploads.
On top of the stamp, SnapID Mark adds the tools teams need: photo clock-in with geofences, offline capture, integrity flags and a web dashboard.
Who it is for
- Field service and maintenance crews who send “job done” photos to clients.
- Construction and inspection teams documenting progress at specific sites.
- Security, cleaning and facility staff who need to prove they were on site at a given time.
- Managers who run attendance for people spread across several locations.
- Individuals who simply want trustworthy timestamped photos, for a rental handover or a delivery for example.
Key features
Stamps in your style
SnapID Mark ships with 6 built-in templates plus a custom option where you drag and arrange stamp elements, add stickers, a signature, notes and adjust opacity. Templates can be shared as a file or a code. Businesses can lock a required template for the whole workspace so every photo looks consistent.
Shoot without signal
Basements, tunnels and remote sites often have no coverage. SnapID Mark still stamps the photo with trusted time and a pre-issued SnapID code. Workspace photos wait in a queue and are sent when you are back online, in either Automatic or Manual sending mode. Personal photos stay on your phone.
Photo clock-in with geofences
Staff clock in and out with a single photo. Each site has a radius set by the Owner or an Admin (from 20 m to 50 km), and the camera shows whether you are Inside or Outside. A company can also require attendance inside a site, in which case capture outside it is blocked. We cover the full setup in our geofence attendance guide (Vietnamese).
Hard to fake
Mock GPS, rooted or jailbroken devices, device clock drift, low GPS accuracy, photos outside the site area and late uploads all raise warnings. A warning does not mean a photo is fake; it tells reviewers what to look at.
Web dashboard for business
At app.snapidmark.com, Owners and Admins manage members and roles, sites and projects, review photos and warnings, see attendance by day, week or month, and export ZIP, Excel, PDF reports and timesheets. Every admin action is recorded in an audit log.
How verification works
Verification is the heart of SnapID Mark, so here is the short version:
- You take a photo. The app stamps it with trusted time, location and a signed SnapID code plus QR.
- You send the photo to a client, a manager or anyone else.
- They scan the QR or enter the code at verify.snapidmark.com. No account is needed.
- The verification page shows the capture time, a rounded area (about 1 km, never the exact spot), who owns the photo (a workspace or “Personal photo”), whether it is a clock in or clock out, and integrity checks such as “Time verified” and “Location verified”.
- Optionally, they drop the file they received onto the page. Their browser computes a SHA-256 fingerprint locally and compares it with the stored original, so they can see whether the file was changed.

Pricing model
SnapID Mark keeps pricing simple:
- Personal: free. Includes the built-in templates, SnapID code and QR, stamp customisation and offline capture. Cloud backup of personal photos requires Premium.
- Business: every workspace starts on a free plan with 5 seats and no payment card required. That includes attendance, geofences, the admin dashboard, photo review, the audit log and exports.
- Larger teams: 10, 25, 50 and 100 seat plans are listed on snapidmark.com, with prices to be announced.
How to get started

- Sign in with email, Google or Apple (iPhone), or tap “Start now, no account needed” to try the camera as a guest.
- Choose your use: Just me, Create workspace or Join a workspace.
