GreenTunnel VPN is a local VPN: it uses the operating system’s VPN permission only to process packets on your device, then lets each connection go straight to the website. There is no server in the middle to see or store your data.
It reshapes the first packet of each connection so DPI filters cannot read the domain, resolves domains over encrypted DNS with the provider you choose, and blocks ad, tracker and scam domains for every app. Requester shows which app connects to which domain, in real time, without decrypting HTTPS.
GreenTunnel does not hide your IP address and is not an anonymity tool. Every core feature is free; an optional Premium plan adds Proxy Route, Tunnel Link and the per-app filter in Requester, and removes ads on Android.
What you get.
DPI bypass
Splits or reorders the first TLS/HTTP packet so filters can’t read the domain, and picks the strategy that works on your network.
Secure DNS
Encrypted lookups over DoH, DoT or DoQ with Cloudflare, Google, Quad9 or your own server, with automatic fallback.
Ad & scam blocking
Blocks ad, tracker and scam domains on the device for every app, through plugins you choose.
Requester
See which app connects to which domain in real time. Only domain names are shown; HTTPS is never decrypted.
No middleman servers
Traffic is processed on your device and goes straight to the website. Your browsing is never sent to us.
Light on battery
Only the first bytes of each connection are touched, so speed stays almost unchanged.
Toggle from anywhere
Widgets, Quick Settings, Control Center, the lock screen and the system tray.
Premium in-app purchase
Optional Premium adds Proxy Route, Tunnel Link and the per-app filter in Requester, and removes ads on Android. Paid through the App Store or Google Play.
Sign in to sync Premium
Sign in with Google, Apple or email to keep Premium on all your devices and restore purchases. Signing in is optional; free features work without an account.
Questions, answered.
How is a local VPN different from a regular VPN?
A regular (remote) VPN routes all your traffic through the provider’s servers. GreenTunnel processes packets on your device and connects straight to the website, with no server in the middle.
Does GreenTunnel hide my IP address?
No. Websites still see your real IP. GreenTunnel is not an anonymity tool; use a remote VPN if you need to change location.
Does GreenTunnel collect my browsing?
No. Domains, URLs, DNS queries, traffic and the Requester log stay on your device. The app only sends basic usage events and crash reports, without domains or IP addresses.
Is GreenTunnel free?
Yes. Every core feature is free. The Android app may show a few ads; an optional Premium plan adds extra tools and removes ads.
Which platforms are supported?
Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows and Linux. macOS and a Chrome extension are coming soon.
How do I keep Premium on all my devices?
Sign in with the same Google, Apple or email account on each device and use Restore purchases. Premium is linked to your account, so it follows you.
How do I cancel or delete my account?
Cancel the subscription in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Delete your account in the app under Settings → Account & Premium → Delete account; this does not cancel a subscription.
